MJFC Awards policy

Each team of the MJFC will have a presentation event for their individual team at the conclusion of the season. Nominally this will be the first Sunday following the Grand Final.

Under 9 & Under 10

All players who represent the MJFC will at the end of the season receive an achievement trophy to commemorate their performance in representing the club.

Under 11

All players who represent the MJFC will at the end of the season receive an achievement trophy to commemorate their performance in representing the club. The will be also four individual trophies (in lieu of achievement Trophy)as well, namely Most Improved, Most Determined, Best Team Player and Coaches Award. The awarding of  these four trophies will be the responsibility of the Coach.

Under 12

All players who represent the MJFC will at the end of the season receive an achievement trophy to commemorate their performance in representing the club. The will be also six individual trophies (in lieu of achievement Trophy)as well, namely Most Improved, Most Determined, Best Team Player, Most Consistent, Most Dependable and Coaches Award. The awarding of these six trophies will be the responsibility of the Coach

Calculation of Best and Fairest Awards for  U13, U14,U15,U16 & U17.

The team manager will be responsible for the distribution and collection of voting cards. There are to be three cards completed for each match It is important that team managers advise vote givers the importance of the voting procedure and that the votes should go to the fairest and best player on the field that day for Montmorency.

Votes are given on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis – 5 for the fairest and best player on that day, 4 for the next fairest and best player and so on down to 1 vote for each Home and Away match Completed vote cards to be kept in a sealed envelope by team managers and handed to Club

Secretary on Sunday evening. The composition of the vote card compliers is to alter each week. The Coach and Team Manager may give votes each week if that is their desire. The remaining vote cards are then to be rotated through other parents in the team. The Team Manager is to keep a record of who has complied vote cards and ensure there is an even spread over the season.
The 3 highest vote receivers for the season will receive Trophies and the YTD tallies are to be kept confidential and presented at presentation night.

Please note that the publisher best players on the day are totally independent from the votes that are awarded in the Best and Fairest.

In addition to the 3 B&F trophy winners the Coach will also determine the winner of four additional trophies, namely Most Determined, Best Team Player, Most Dependable and Coaches Award.

The winner of the Under 17 B & F will be awarded the Darren Boulton Medal and have their name engraved upon a perpetual trophy. The Under 17 vote count will be conducted as a stand alone evening and will be organised by a sub committee of parents from the team in consultation with the MJFC Committee.
